On behalf of the more than 12,000 children and teens that we serve each year, thank you for your support. Unlike many agencies, most of our funding comes directly from donors like you who support efforts and help us make life better for the members we serve. Without you, we would not be here.
I’d like to share with you some great proof of the impact that your support is having in our community. A recent survey done for Boys & Girls Clubs found that children who are part of our Clubs graduate from high school at significantly higher rate than the national average! Furthermore, Club alumni recognized that being a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs helped with their self-confidence and self esteem and avoid involvement with drugs or sex at an early age.
On behalf of these youth, I would like to thank you for your recent donation (s) of $200.00 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Your generosity enables us to continue these positive programs for thousands of children in our 13 Clubs throughout the country.
As always, I invite you to come take first-hand look at the good that your support is doing in our Clubs. If you would like a tour, we would love to show our Clubs; we are very proud of them and the work our staff provides. All that you need to do is call my office and I will arrange a tour for you.

I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of $300.00, which we received on April 11, 2012 in association with our Wheels of Dreams event at John Staluppi’s Cars of Dream Museum in West Palm Beach, Florida. This will help the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, a certified 501©(3) charitable organization, continue to support individuals with paralysis and prevent spinal cord injuries. By giving the gift of mobility, the foundation has enabled there individuals to return to work and school, attend community events, or simply play at the park with friends. This past weekend alone, we were able to give the gift of mobility to three deserving young individuals, dramatically changing their lives and enabling them to obtain a sense of freedom and independence.
However, there are many people living with paralysis across the country that still need help. With your continued assistance, the Darrell Gwynn Foundation will be able to impact countless lives, either through our education and prevention program in schools, our work to help find a cure for paralysis, or by supplying much needed wheelchairs to those who cannot cover the cost.
Now that you’ve witnessed the magic of a wheelchair donation, I would like to encourage you to consider making your donation an annual gift to help support our mission.
